What is an eSIM?

eSIM is an electronic analog of a regular SIM. Devices, that are compatible with eSIM, have a special built-in chip that is used to store the eSIM data after purchase. It allows you to buy and install UNISIM in any country without leaving your home.

How does UNISIM and your balance system work?

International eSIM from UNISIM allows you to use high-speed mobile data in more than 170 countries. You only need to install our eSIM once.Every time you visit a new country, UNISIM automatically connects to Internet in a few minutes upon arrival.UNISIM’s balance can be spent on mobile data in all supported countries. You pay only for each used KB of data according to our rates. Funds are deducted from your balance. If you do not use UNISIM, your balance is going to be saved indefinitely until you use it next time.

UNISIM supports only mobile data?

Correct. UNISIM does not support SMS and voice calls yet, but we are working on adding these features in the near future.

How can I check my balance?

The balance can be checked through your personal accountpersonal account and mobile app (download it on the App Store and Google Play). To sign in, click on the icon in the upper right part of our website, enter your email and open the link from the received email. After logging in, click on the green arrow in the eSIM you are interested in to update the balance.

Do you have a personal account, how does it work?

Click on the icon at the top of our website or herehere to access your personal account. Enter the email which was used for eSIM purchase. In a few seconds you will receive an email. Click on the link in the email — you are authorized. Authorization lasts for 4 weeks.You can also install our mobile app on the App Store and Google Play.You can check and top up your balance, view the history of operations, and use our referral program. Using the referral program, you can get bonuses from UNISIM recommendations and spend them for free mobile data. You can learn more about the program here.

Is my device compatible with eSIM?

To check if your device supports eSIM please type *#06# in phone dial mode. If you have an EID number, your device is compatible with eSIM. You can also check if your model supports eSIM in the special section on our website.

Can my main SIM stay active while using UNISIM?

Yes, eSIM works as a second SIM. You need to configure the device so that the mobile data works from UNISIM, voice call and SMS from your main SIM.Please note that the provider of the main SIM card may charge an additional fee for roaming voice calls and SMS.

Is UNISIM suitable for a trip with several countries?

UNISIM is especially good in routes that include several countries. You get connected to Internet in a few minutes after turning on our eSIM in a new country. A single eSIM and the same balance is used for each new country of your trip. And you pay only for each KB of used data – without hidden payments, fees or minimal spends.

Wouldn’t it be easier to buy a foreign SIM abroad?

UNISIM can’t automatically connect. What should I do?

If UNISIM doesn’t connect to any network automatically in 5 minutes, you can select a network manually. We recommend that you check data rates and networks list of the country you are visiting before arrival.
How to manually select a network on iOS: go to Settings → Mobile Service / Cellular → Select UNISIM in SIMs list → Network Selection → Turn off “Automatic”. Wait for a few minutes and select the Network you want to connect to.

Can I make voice calls and send/receive SMS with UNISIM?

Our eSIM is valid only for mobile data. We do not support voice calls or SMS yet, but you can make online calls in messengers and other apps. Our eSIM does not have a phone number. We are working on adding these features soon.

How fast and what way is eSIM delivered after purchase?

eSIM is delivered to you instantly after purchase. Installation details will be sent to your email immediately after a successful payment. eSIM can be installed in a few minutes without leaving your home.

How can I get bonus balance during UNISIM purchase?

UNISIM has a multi-level bonus system for first purchases:‍1. For $15 purchase the eSIM becomes free-of-charge.2. Purchases from $40 to $99 get you 5% added to balance as a bonus.3. Purchases from $100 get you 10% added to balance as a bonus.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds for eSIM purchases can be requested in one of the following cases:‍- Device does not support eSIM.- Device is locked and can only work with one Carrier.- Other technological difficulties.If eSIM has been successfully installed on any device, refund is unavailable. Refund can be done within 14 days from the date of purchase.

When should I install my eSIM from UNISIM?

We advise installing UNISIM immediately after purchase. That way you will not have to search for the email with installation details right before or during your trip. And you will not lose any funds if UNISIM is not used for mobile data.

How to switch Mobile Data between my main SIM and UNISIM?

Each time you go abroad, you should switch Mobile Data from your main SIM to UNISIM.

For iOS devices: Go to Settings → Mobile Service / Cellular → Mobile Data → Select UNISIM. To avoid excessive roaming charges from your main SIM, turn off “Allow Mobile Data Switching”.

For Android devices: Go to SIM Manager → Mobile Data → Select UNISIM.

Can I transfer my eSIM from one device to another?

The eSIM can not be reinstalled on another device. You will need to purchase a new eSIM when changing the device.We will transfer the remaining balance from your old sim to the new one for free. To do this, just contact our Support team.

What does IMSI mean?

IMSI is a unique ID of your eSIM. We advise you to write it down or save the letter with installation details. IMSI is needed to top up UNISIM balance or to contact Support team.

You can find out the IMSI number in your personal accountpersonal account and mobile app (download it on the App Store and Google Play) or view it in the email with eSIM installation details.

How can I top up my balance?

Go to the Top up page, type your IMSI and top up amount. You can also go to the Top up page from your personal accountpersonal account for the IMSI number to be inserted automatically.

What will happen to my remaining balance after I return from my trip?

UNISIM balance never expires. If you do not use UNISIM, your balance is going to be saved indefinitely until you use it next time.

In such cases you need to contact our Support team. We will manually deposit funds to your eSIM.We advise that you go to the Top up page from your personal accountpersonal account, for the IMSI to be inserted automatically.
